MC-201 review
This is a great little mag lock.
It works as it should.
Voltage is 24vDC and more importantly, the MC-201 will consume about 25mA at 24VDC.
If you cut the connectors off and hard wire it to a power supply, the polarity doesn't seem to matter.
I used this with a relay circuit and an IDEC #PS5R-SC24 Power Supply.

Cool little magnet
I bought one to test it to see if it's going to work for my application before I buy a bunch more.
I used a 2500ma 24VDC transformer and it works as expected. There is a second or two delay from when you cut power to it releasing. So keep that in mind, but it releases fully. If you had planned on it attaching itself to some other metal something or another, it doesn't do real well unless it's flat metal without holes. So plan on using the supplied puck, and aligned right on center. Doesn't work if the puck is missaligned with the magnet.
Even though it's strong, I can pull what I have it attached too quite easily with just a little "Peal" force, or side torque. Think of it like a leverage action it does very very poorly. So don't use it for lifting items.
But over all, I do like it. For the price you can make some pretty cool devices. Yes I will be buying more but very glad I bought one to try it before I bought the rest of the magnets or the rest of the mating...
