With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Great - but know what you are buying!
No problem with quality or basic performance. Easy to program. Easy to add and remove codes which is useful for having contractors come to your house. It's a Schlage which means it is well built. Nice feel. Smooth mechanism. Push the top button and the keypad lights up for easy entry at night.
But... Know what you are buying. This model (575) does NOT have an old school lock/unlock button. This door is always locked from the outside. It relocks itself in 10 seconds. If you are working in the yard, you must enter the code every time you enter the house. I don't blame Schlage. It's my fault I missed this. I looked at a lot of brands and models and specifically looked for the stay unlocked feature, along with other features, but somehow missed it in the final purchase.
Another limitation is it only allows for 4-digit codes.
As background, we had a different brand for the last 3 or 4 years. It felt cheaper, and it actually broke. This...

Secure and Easy To Use Door Lock
We purchased two (2) sets of these door locks to secure the front and back doors of our office conference room. Price was a factor in choosing these locks as we did not want to break the bank on this part of our renovation project. We were concerned that the locks would not be solid or easily "hacked" because the price was so reasonable. To our great delight these are some of the most solid locks with heavy-duty materials we found and the auto-lock feature is top notch!
Keyless Lock
This lock is as good as any other Schlage keyless lock. The down side to this lock, that I didn't realize until after purchase, is that the battery is located in the outside part of the lock. That could result in battery problems in extreme low temperatures. Their other locks have the battery on the inside part of the lock.
