Works like a charm
I'm not sure why some people are having difficulty with this product, but I have personally not experienced any problems with this model. Maybe I'm used to the quality of these products since I had a similar keyless entry system on my old garage opener. The item is secure on the side of our garage and has worked from day one without any problems. We have had this system for a year and it's doing fine.

Super easy to sync with system.
Very easy to install (mounted on wood trim of a vynl sidding home).
You can program a PIN number for family to use all the time and keep private and at same time have a secondary number with number of uses limit; say for guests visiting.

I like being able to do yard work and not have to keep the house unlocked.

The first time you step outside and leave keys inside it will have been worth getting.

This product from Liftmaster is a great replacement for your regular push button type, the lock out feature that locks out any other remotes even your own is great once you are home to stay for added security, and can be turned off and on with the push of a button. The display lights up very nice for easy visibility, and alternates the temperture and time on the display screen. It also has a built in motion sensor that activates the light on your unit when you walk in the room. Installation is easy, no other wires were needed other than the two wires that are there for the old button. I also recommend the Lifmaster Garage Door Monitor, this can be placed anywhere in your home to notify you if you door is open or closed with one glance at the Monitor. Amazon is your place to buy these items.
I LOVE CHAMBERLAIN
Chamberlain can always guarantee a great product! Only problem i have is that little gnats have decided to get behind the LCD glass and you can see about 50 dead bugs on the display. I've cleaned it twice now. I think I may put a bead of caulking around the glass to keep the varments out......

Easy garage keylock
I was replacing an old garage keylock that stopped working. It took probably a good 30 min to pry out the old one. Overall, my installation was probably easier than most, as I didn't have to drill any holes to mount the new keylock. Once the old one was out, I needed to splice the old bellwire to some newer wire in order to feed it through the existing mounting hole. (The kit for the new keylock included bellwire to connect the keylock to the garage opener, but I chose to use the existing wire.) But other than that, installation was straightforward. The Chamberlain model popped into the existing hole. I used the included nails to hammer it into the joist. The new keylock had a smaller faceplate than my old one (and seems a little different than what is shown in the picture), so I'll have to prime and paint the exposed wood. Otherwise, it was an easy 1 hr project.

Works GREAT!
After having to deal with a garage door that had no remote control anymore and the key to the old lock was missing (we are renters), we finally bought and installed this lock on our own. It works like butter! It has made our life MUCH easier.

Since the garage was already pre-wired, it was easy to install.

The only "complaint" is, that the screws were a bit short and not the safety type, the ones that someone else can't just unscrew again (don't know the official term).So my husband just filed the heads down after the installation to where they can't be unscrewed anymore.

For the price, it was an easy fix to a bothersome problem.
Solution for failed remote garage door opener
This was a simple installation, and it works fine. I'd have paid a couple extra bucks for four keys instead of two, but I,ll get them cut at Ace Hardware.

Chamberlain PD212D 1/2hp garage door opener
This opener is fairly easy to install, with mostly well-illustrated instructions overall, in spite of a couple of inconsistencies in the installation manual's text and in the parts drawings. The text instructions seem likely to have been written by someone who speaks English as a FIRST language too, which is unusual these days, and which helps to speed things along....The actual assembly of the main components and wiring the system are a breeze.

The quality of the parts OVERALL seems decent, although I noticed that a significantly lighter weight steel and smaller gauge fasteners are used for the bracketry and rail system than had been used with my older 1/3hp chain driven unit (20-25 years) which had also been Chamberlain-(Sears private labeled) model. That may be a part of why this new one still flexes considerably-in spite of the square cross section of the new rail (vs "t" section) and is actually louder in operation than the old one had been.

May Not Be So Easy To Install
My husband who is quite handy thought this product was not so easy to install. It really depends on your door and your current setup. The door sensor does not mount to the rail because our garage door hardware that extends beyond the track. In that case, you need creativity to mount the sensors to the garage walls(oftentimes concrete walls). The door won't work without the sensors. We had little clearance in the ceiling area. The directions state that you need two inches, but because of the hardware, you actually need a good 4 inches from the ceiling which we did not have. Also be sure to read the directions completely before you start as my husband made at least two trips to the hardware store in addition to his initial trip. Be sure to read the directions about reinforcing the door if it is not a solid door. You will need bracing for the door which will require some creativity.

Afterall is said and done, the door works well, quieter than our previous door, but...
Nice opener easy to install (if your handy)
The opener is a good quality. It will not support cfl lighting but a bulb is okay with me. The door button is big and has a separate light switch. I like this opener better than the screw drive I normally put in my rentals,it's a higher quality and it's not as loud.

Replacing older Lift Master interior door openers
Caution: the older Lift Master interior door openers are no simple replacements with the new version. For example, this model was used to replace my 20 year old model since it had a small light behind the large button. Both models had three buttons; one for door opening, one for door locking and one for turning on the light with the door. Old model has four wires to do the hookup, but new model has only two, because the new model has a different circuit board in the Lift Master main control which only needs two wires. Thus, you can use it to replace the door opening, but not the locking or turning on the light.

Also replaces Raynor control panels
Easy to install, comes with wire in case you do not have it, bought through Sanford and Sons (lol, great name), and fulfilled by Amazon, delivery was great, easy transaction.

This was a replacement for a Raynor garage door control panel (9 years old), works perfect, and is exactly the same, seems as though this unit is same as used on multiple brands, Raynor, Chamberlain, Liftmaster, Sears, etc.

Until I got the unit, I did not know how to access the mounting screws, but it is easy, just insert a flat head screw driver at the top of the white button an pry down slightly and the button comes out allowing you to access the mounting screws, and then you disconnect, reconnect the wires on the back and off you go.

Works well - Vendor FANTASTIC!
Had issues with the 1st one delivered and called Chamberlain Lift-Master Help Line. I was told there was a "short" in the bell-wire so I went out and purchased bell-wire and installed it...same results (garage door would lift with the wall button, but would not lower with the remote. However when I returned, the door WOULD lift with the remote). After calling a second time, the trouble shooter from Chamberlain said that the wall unit was bad and unfortunately with it having been purchased through an Amazon third party, they would not warranty the product. I then contacted the vendor - ASPDOORS & A WHOLE LOT MORE - via e-mail and sent them the e-mail communications from Chamberlain. Kevin from ASPDOORS and I e-mailed back and forth trying to get the unit to work...it should be such a simple install! He then offered to ship another. Upon receipt and a two minute install, all is working very well!! He even included return postage for the 1st unit.....THANKS Kevin!!
Replacement
My house came with this opener and we have wore it out. My 2 1/2 year old loves to open the garage door and loves to punch the button. He gave it a few good punches and broke the plastic piece that pushes on the small button on the circuit board. It was toast and I looked in my owners manual and found the part number. Took the part number and found it on Amazon at a reasonable price. I was anticipating this thing would cost at least $85 but it was much less. It was an easy installation (took about 30 sec.) and I was able to use it again. If this is a fresh installation for you it may take a bit longer. I don't want to make this sound like there's nothing to it if you're doing this from scratch as you will need to do some wiring. That can be time consuming. If you are replacing your opener then it won't take but a minute or less. Very happy with the part and price. Shipping took a bit longer than I expected but that is not Amazon's fault.

Easy, Affordable, and Quiet
I installed two of these chain driven Chamberlains for two doors. My wife was not available to help me with the install (she is not easy, affordable or quiet [just kidding, dear]). However, I was able to do them both myself with the help of a 6 ft ladder, a Makita cordless, a socket set, and a screwdriver.

It took me about 38 minutes to assemble the first one and 20 minutes for the second one. After that, each unit required about an hour to attach brackets and mount. A fairly easy job that required some skill. I needed to purchase the screws/bolts required to mount the unit to the support (they give most but not all screws/bolts as every garage is different). My garage required installing brackets to the supports as well.

I like my wires neat, so I purchased an Arrow electric staple gun - a good move (the one I bought can handle rounded and squared staples along with one size of nail). Installing the sensors is required, and putting up all of the keypads...

Good opener, be wary of Amazon
I ordered 2 PD210 openers in early November 05 and received them in late February of 06. Besides the dealings with Amazon the openers are great. I installed them this weekend and they work well, were easy to install and are very quiet. Be wary of a few things though. Amazon drug their feet for almost 4 months because I clicked the "send in as few shipments as possible" button. After they suggested I split them up I had the openers, in 2 separate shipments, within 2 days. Also be aware that the CLK1 remote keypad control DOES NOT WORK WITH THESE OPENERS! I had trouble programming it and called the support line. One of the first things the recording says is that it will not function with Chamberlain openers that have a purple learn button, like the ones I received. So besides those few things these openers appear to work great, I am happy witht the Chamberlain experience, just not the Amazon experience.

I bought this is a gift for my father, he loved it. This product was easy to install it only took about 1/2 hour to install. The extra security features are wonderful and ease my father's mind. Very quiet, lifts even our very heavy door
We used to have a 1/3 HP garage door opener, and it gave us nothing but problems. We have a metal folding garage door with wood panels on the outside. Whenever there was overnight moisture, we would not be able to open the garage door. The door would become soaked when it rained, and it was very heavy.

Not a problem for this 3/4 HP garage door opener from Chamberlain. It opens our heavy garage door every time, and it's also very quiet. No loud mechanical or electrical noises when it's operating.

The box that it came in is not that large. It includes the railings in sections. The rail comes together from the pieces to form one permanent long piece. At first, we thought it would be very difficult to install this opener, but in fact it was very easy. We took our time to make sure it was installed right, and the total time was about 1 hour. The instructions were clear and the installation was surprisingly a breeze.

Chamberlain chain drive is a quality product
After getting a quote from my local garage door installer to put in a new garage door opener, I decided to do it myself. He wanted $1200. The directions were written well and I was able to use the mounting brackets from my old unit. I also used the existing wiring so that only took a few minutes. The biggest surprise was that when I tested it, it was super quiet. I have a really heavy wood sectional garage door, and you can barely hear it opening. Took me a few hours but I saved a ton of money.
Powerful opener
I looked around and did some research and decided to buy the Chamberlain.

The installation was very easy since I used some of the hardware from my old door opener, even though I really took my time (total of 6 hours)and installed it by myself. Instructions were written out very clearly so you cannot get confused. I had this new opener for 3 months and its performance is outstanding, it is very quiet and lifts the door without any problems although the door is all wood and is very heavy.
