Forget about painting, this is a great product! I ordered 6 boxes of Black and 6 boxes of Gunmetal. The 1' square units are attached (4 each) and 4x4 is best for a double car garage. Use 1x1 for a single car garage. Don't bother with edging as they are not needed. Just start under the garage door (make sure the door closes on top of the tiles) and work to the back but get it right and straight or mistakes will telegraph through the entire project. They are fun to install, kind of like popping those bubble wraps. The units are strong, do not dent under tires, water drains under and finished floor looks great. You should have a bench saw to cut pieces, I had a lot of cutting. Don't caulk the front since you will want the water to drain out. INSTALLATION HINTS: use a bench saw, run one row across and center the tiles so each side is the same width, make sure you can't see any of the little tabs between tiles because they won't be completely attached (you'll see what I mean when you do...
