The FE599NX is ANSI Grade 2 Certified for enhanced security, and it features a 1-inch throw bolt to prevent kick-ins, a vandal-resistant free spinning deadbolt turn, and a patented commercial-grade clutching motor that's been tested to one million cycles. Its rekeyable cylinders match existing locks for single key convenience.
This keypad lever features a non-wearing keypad that is lighted for nighttime use and epoxy-coated buttons that prevent fading and wear. It holds up to 19 user unique codes (with over 10,000 four-digit user code combinations), and you can easily program a code right at the keypad or online via your Nexia Home Intelligence personal portal (which utilizes 128 bit AES encryption for wireless security).
It's powered by a 9-volt battery for up to a three-year battery life. Easy to install, you'll be able to replace your existing lock with a screwdriver in less than 30 minutes--no wiring required--and it fits all standard door preparations (1-3/8- to 1-3/4-inch thickness). Great Keyless locks!
Lock works great with my Z-Wave home automation system using the Micasa Verde controller and no monthly fees. This lock works very smoothly, the handle feels very good in your hand when using the door and the keypad is easy to use on a daily basis. I had an older style keyless door knob from another manufacturer and it had to drive the latch mechanisim and it sucked up the batteries weekly. THis unit simply drives an engagement device inside the lock that either engages or disengages the handle to the rest of the internals. A far superior design and results in a long battery life - 3 years it says. I would buy these again! If you do not need the Z-Wave automation features, this same unit is available for much less in a different model.

Easy to install, tricky to program. Works perfectly on Vera Lite
My review is based off using this on the MiCasaVerde Vera Lite unit instead of the Nexia bridge. I actually installed the batteries and cable at my desk and programmed it here instead of moving Vera around. Programming was quick. and I had it installed on my door in about ten minutes. Upside - I was replacing a different Schalge non zwave lock.
Reception is weak - modules work just fine in that room but I had to move Vera closer to get it working with the Schlage lock. Still, now it is all working, it is reliable. I always get an email when the lock is triggered and I can remotely monitor it using the CIOS panel and Homebuddy on my phone.
Tip - check Amazon for Warehouse deals versions of this lock and save over $60.
Beware
Carry your key! This unit is not rated for cold climates. I have had to thaw the locking mechanism once and use my key several times due to a frozen lock. I live in a northern state. Just make sure you have a key with you!
