OK product but the insurance promise is a scam
I used Tripp Lite surge protectors for years, and when running a computer networking and repair business I recommended them to all my customers. One attractive feature was the claim of $50,000 insurance to pay for any electronic equipment damaged while connected to one of their surge protectors. After 15 years of using, selling and recommending their products, my house was hit by lightening and most of my electronics: computers, TVs, stereo, etc were fried.

I contacted Tripp Lite to file a claim for the computer components that were damaged as these were the items connected to the Isotel surge protector. I sent in the Isotel, which I tested prior to sending back to Tripp Lite (I am an electrical engineer, BSEE cum laude UF 1994) and verified that the Isotel was also damaged and no longer funtioning correctly. Tripp Lite sent back a letter denying the claim and stating that the surge protector showed no damage and was functioning properly, therefore any equipment...

Like the heavy duty construction, compact size,wide spacing between outlets. Green LEDs also indicate line and protection status.

It Does It's Job...
What can I say? It works. I needed a new surge protector/power bar for the kitchen as we have ONE outlet for the whole kitchen and this has to have the fridge and our new Upright Freezer (reason for purchase)plug into it, plus all the other appliances like the microwave, coffee/espresso maker, toaster, etc. We have a twin window fan plugged into this as well.

I wanted to go with something VERY sturdy and able to take a slight beating, and that could handle the 2 larger appliances with the smaller ones as well.

This Surge Outlet Bar works great, is heavy duty with it's all metal construction, has a long enough cord for my needs, and I can feel comfortable using it and knowing it will help keep my appliances safe.

A "must get" purchase, IMO.
Crossed Lines
This surge protector gave it's life to save my TV and entertainment system. The two main powerlines entering my apartment building ended up touching each other sending some intense power surges. The tripplite was a little charred but it saved my equipment and prevented a fire.
