Seems to be alright.
This is the cheap low end model, doesn't get much worse then this for gate openers... and it works fine! This model is good for the light weight ranch tube gates. Make certain your gate is in perfect shape, do NOT buy any opener unless you have a well installed functioning gate.

I gave four stars because I couldn't program the "Stop Limit" function (this is how the gate knows to stop when it's perfectly closed). Customer Service told me that this is a common problem and you need to make sure you have a good distance between the control box and power arm. I stretched it out as much as I could, and it still didn't work. So I re-mounted the hardware to close perfectly with the factory settings (since I couldn't change them) and it worked great. Maybe try this the first time if you buy one in case you have the same problem as me (they say it's common).

Follow up Review - Needs Improvement and Customer Service of GTO is terrible!
This is our second opener from GTO. The first (model FM350) we purchased 8 years ago. It did not work out of the box and after a week of constantly calling GTO, without reaching anything but an answering machine on their non-toll free tech line, I finally managed to speak with somebody and get a replacement unit sent out. This unit worked well with little trouble until last year. I looked for a replacement and found this model at a much lower price than the FM350. I was surprised to find that it was not a direct replacement for the FM350 and its installation was entirely different from the FM350. It also seemed to be the FM350's very tiny cousin.

It worked for 60 days and gave up the ghost. Based on my previous problems reaching GTO on the telephone 8 years ago, I was hoping things had changed. I called the toll free number on the opener and, as 8 years ago, was told to call a non-toll free number for tech support. Once again a call was made and a message left. The...

Instructions are poorly written and hard to follow.

Getting the mechanical hardware installed with the correct dimensions and geometry is moderately difficult even with the instructions provided.

The wiring diagram for the FM200 model is NOT included in the multi-model installation manual provided with it.

Telephone support - Several times required waiting up to half an hour on hold. This telephone support is available only during extended business hours Monday thru Friday.

Tech Support representatives were helpful, patient and effective when contacted.

The wiring and cables and control box are lightweight and easily subject to vandalism and weathering.

If one is good, two are better
I bought an extra transmitter for the house, 250 feet away from the gate. At night the gate can be closed without leaving the house. This is the kind of decadent luxury that technology was meant to provide.

mighty mule remote control
The transmitter works great, has a long range reception. It is small, I keep it in my shirt pocket to use it around the farm. The only problem I've had is the button sticks out and is easy to accidentally press with out realizing it. I made a plastic cover, so as to make it more difficult to trigger.

Not Ready For Market
NEVER GOT ONE TO WORK!!! The first one would only go off when I walked by with keys in my pocket with the base only 10 ft from the transmitter. I called GTO Tech Support since there is NOTHING about the product on their website and the only answer I got was to "reinstall the batteries" which of course I had already tried with several sets of batteries. They also suggested I could be getting some interference from some other wireless device. So, I shut off all of the wireless devices I have and even tried moving it 250 feet to my garage and even outside with extension cords with no help. Nothing would set it off! No vehicles passing within 3 feet or any heavy steel object could trigger it. Called GTO Tech Support again and they said it sounded defective and I would have to send it to them to check it out but I would have to pay shipping. I said I would rather send it back to Amazon since they DO pay shipping for defective products. Amazon was great as usual and agreed to send me a 2nd...

Does Not Work
After installing unit I drove my car past it and it would not go off. No matter what I did it would not go off. I moved it to various positions on the driveway but still nothing. It did periodically go off for no apparent reason.
Like a mule, it gets the job done, but sometimes stubborn
Yes, it lets me know when someone drives in. But sometime it acts an a__, going off in the middle of the night, or more likely just at daylight. I think moisture or tempreture changes might cause the problem, but it sure blows you out of bed with the shotgun in hand.

Having problems but still like the product; REALLY like buying from Amazon.com!
I ordered this item to replace another Mighty Mule gate opener that failed when it was struck by lightning.

This unit wants to jam on a regular basis when using the remote control. If you try to open the gate, then close it too quickly, it jams and you have to get out of your vehicle and manually reset the unit. I plan to call GTO and get the unit replaced or upgraded under the warranty.

Having said all that, I have nothing but praise for Amazon and the seller that sold me this unit. They did exactly what they promised when they promised.

Would I recommend another GTO gate opener? Sure; I probably got that one-in-a-thousand units that has a glitch or some other minor problem. Their units are much more competitively priced than other brands of gate openers and their written and video taped instructions easily walked me through the installation of my first-ever gate opener.

Great as long as you never have a lightening storm
This is a really convenient item when it works. Every time we have a lightening storm it blows out the wireless connection on the board. The hard wired openers still work but not the wireless. Their tech support is useless. You wait 30 minutes each time to reach them and they have no idea what is wrong. I am on my third board in one year. Each time it is the same conversation. I wait 30 minutes online and they tell me my receiver is broken. I replace the receiver and it still doesn't work. I call again and wait 30 more minutes online for them to tell me to send the board back to them to check it out. I never hear from them so I call again and wait 30 minutes online to reach someone who puts me on hold for 30 minutes to find the return only to tell me they are backed up for weeks. After I throw a fit they tell me the item can not be repaired and I need a new board. Three times in a year this has happened. I have asked the Tech department what I can do to help prevent this...
Mighty Mule 350
The gate opener worked fine for 2 years and then the motor wore out. The manufacture, GTO, does not sell the motor as a part, They want you to replace the complete opener. The motor is nothing special, a frame 550 12volt motor which should cost about $5.00. If you need a gate opener to last more than 2 years, buy a comercial grade opener it will save you money in the long run.

Terrible Gate and Even Worse Customer Service
I had this gate system installed a few years ago, it died within 18 months. I went through all of the trouble shooting I could think of (replace fuses etc) and still could not get it working. I contacted the company and they sent me to their local dealers and distributors to try and find a repair person. I finally got hold of one and he (their recommended repair person) told me the gates were junk and he would not repair it. He did offer to replace it with another brand but otherwise he would not visit me. I went back to the company for help and they will not respond. The gate was barely used, maybe 5 times a week. If you read this review and think that it cannot be that bad, I promise you it is. Find another brand and save yourself some headaches.

Open Sesame
Was somewhat intimadated in the beginning, but if you follow the instructions (I read them over several times and highlighted what would pertain to me), it was really pretty easy. Lots of wires to keep track of. My gate is solar powered - got my panel elsewhere, as I found their panel to be overpriced. Was pleasantly surprised to discover that the gate opener works well over 100 feet from the gate (which is ONLY advertised as operational at 50-100 feet on the back of the opener packaging itself). Bought two openers thinking I could keep one in the car and one in the house, but gate will only read one opener at at time. Overall, I am pleased with the gate and really pleased I will not have to get out of my car in inclement weather to open/close gate.
Garbage! Find another brand
I would give this ZERO stars but am not offered that option!

I bought and installed this GTO 352 dual gate opener. Two weeks after installation it was totally dead. I sent it in while under full warranty and was told that "lightening" killed it and it was NOT covered by the warranty. I had to pay $100 to fix a product that was two weeks old.

I got it back and reinstalled it using an expensive lightning and surge protector. Guess what?

One week later it's dead again! This time the secondary opener is in the full out position and won't close.

Poorly designed, poorly protected against power surges and the warranty is worthless.

Find another brand, this one is junk!

Better than expected
It is nice that you have the option of using this in a wired or wireless configuration. In my case, wireless was the only way to go.

Like other 'programmable' wireless remotes, I expected a little pain in programming this one. The instructions have you press a certain key sequence and hold a working remote close to the unit until it beeps. The manual says it takes a little while. I must be impatient because I held it there for a good long time and it never beeped. But I tried it again and held the transmit button down for a very long time and sure enough, it finally beeped.

Programming access codes is very easy, much easier than other keypad devices I've used.

There is no delay in transmission, either. When I enter my code (I like the lighted button and beep feedback), my gate starts to open immediately.

Mounting is trivial.

Painful For Guests To Use
I constantly have to tell friends and relatives that they must press the buttons with, "Fortitude and purpose." It's a never-ending battle of guests not being able to enter. Eventually, they yank on the gate, causing the gate opener to be out of alignment.

I feel like I'm babysitting. I have to watch the tiny blinking light to figure out if the code was enter in correctly. HINT: If you see a doubling blink at the end of your entry, then it worked!
Works as advertised
Works so good I bought one for the inside of my gate too. Had a problem programming the second one, it wouldn't learn the code the first day. Tried several times. Worked first thing the next day, must have been radio interference. Other than that, works GREAT!

Handy, But a Bit Cranky
Very nice for landowner and visitors, enabling exit from the property without leaving the vehicle to push the button. The only problem is that it doesn't seem to operate in the rain, which is when you want it the most.

Wireless sensor works great!
I had to download the wiring diagram from the website and the channels are reversed from the original installation instructions which I didn't pick up until I got tech support. After it was corrected it works perfectly. Couldn't be happier.
very weak transmitter
Nice when it works. Even though the transmitter is less than 30 feet from the control box, it worked very intermittently. I eventually made it more reliable by making the transmitter almost horizontal, not vertical as instructed. It seemed to work better when "aimed" at the control box. For sale cheap, since I can't afford the $200 to replace lightning struck main control board.
